Honey Insurance was recognised by Deloitte’s Tech Fast 50 2023 awards as the 6th fastest-growing technology company in Australia in the Rising Stars category, due to Honey’s exponential growth in just 3 years. For two decades the Fast 50 awards have celebrated the country’s fastest-growing tech companies (the startups that have scaled up) with many going on to become local and global powerhouses.

Honey Insurance landed at #20 in the 7th Annual LinkedIn Top Start-ups award. LinkedIn said the list is “a testament to that spirit of innovation, featuring young Australian companies that are growing fast and gaining attention. These are the startups that have trailblazed their way through recent economic and workplace challenges — and managed to stand out to investors and top talent along the way.”

LinkedIn measures startups based on four pillars: employment growth, engagement, job interest, and attraction of top talent.

The CEO Magazine Awards 2023

Entrepreneur of the Year

Honey’s very own CEO Richard Joffe won The CEO Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year award for 2023. The Awards are Australia’s most prestigious business awards event, recognising the individual excellence of senior executives and its commendations are some of the most hotly contested accolades for top leaders.

The CEO Magazine wrote, “Over the span of two decades, Joffe founded three successful tech companies, each heralding transformative change within its domain – be that parking, recruiting or home insurance. Honey Insurance is currently poised to disrupt the home insurance sector using cutting-edge technology and data analytics, driven by Joffe’s extensive experience in, and knowledge of business strategy, finance and global markets.”

Highly Commended - Best Insurance Innovation

Honey was placed as Highly Commended in the Best Insurance Innovation Category in the Finder Innovation Awards for 2023. Honey previously won this award in 2022.

Now in its eighth year, the Finder Innovation Awards acknowledges excellence and creativity while recognising the impact of innovation across a range of industries. 200 entrants across 15 categories celebrated new initiatives across banking, insurance, telecommunications, retail and more.

Good Design Awards 2023

Outstanding design and innovation - Digital Design

In 2023 Honey’s design team won a prestigious Good Design Award for outstanding design and innovation in the Digital Design category.

The Good Design Awards Jury commented, “A distinctive colour palette, clever SVG animations and smart-looking interactive animations make Honey Insurance stand out in its industry. It’s playful visual design is complemented by a super-efficient quote experience and predictive pre-fill tools.”

Insurance Business Magazine 2024 Hot List

Winner - Angelo Azar, Chief Operating Officer

Honey’s COO Angelo Azar, was recently named the winner of Insurance Business Magazine’s 2024 Hot List. From a pool of 500 entrants, the list recognises 50 influential leaders shaping the future of the industry and their notable contributions to the industry over the past year.

The objective of the awards was to pinpoint individuals who spearheaded innovative initiatives, propelling Australia’s insurance sector forward in the aftermath of the significant challenges faced that year.

Auscontact National Awards 2023

National Winner and NSW State Winner, Centre Manager - Aneta Field, Senior Customer Support Manager

NSW State Winner, Rising Star - Abigail Dukes, Senior Consultant

Aneta Field, Honey’s Senior Customer Support Manager took out the National Centre Manager award winner at the Auscontact National Excellence Awards 2023, while Senior Consultant, Abigail Dukes claimed the NSW Rising Star award. This award ceremony is the most prestigious industry event in Australia recognising and celebrating excellence in customer service, contact centres, customer experience, and employee experience.

My Startup Gig Awards 2023

Top Startup Employer

Honey Insurance was named as the Top Startup Employer 2023 for organisations with more than 40 employees. The My Startup Gig Awards is the first project to independently verify the best startup workplaces in Australia. As part of the judging process, My Startup Gig surveys the employees at each startup, and each employer submits evidence of their company practices. Honey excelled in the following areas:
